Los Angeles Mayhem

I have no idea how I am alive right now. This past Saturday was my bachelorette party up in L.A. All of my bridesmaids came which was incredible. Even the out-of-towners! The day was amazing minus the fact that I was basically on my death bed coughing up every type of flemmy matter that resided in my throat and my face felt like it was going to explode due to the massive amount of pressure in my sinuses. But hey, you only get one bachelorette party right? So I sucked it up, threw on my cute little Ralph Lauren bathing suit and accessorized with a huge black hat and sun glasses and plopped my sick butt down onto a big bed next to the beautiful pool at the Mondrian in West Hollywood.
Later that evening we got ready, sat around, told stories and played shockingly inappropriate games of Would You Rather?

We then set out to hit the town and started our night at Skybar which is right across the street from Ashton Kutcher's Sushi Restaurant Katana. After about an hour we decided to go to Drai's which was my favorite spot of the night. It was beautiful not to mention we somehow got free bottle service.
Next stop: Voyeur.
This is when our night took a turn for the worst. We waited outside of this club for about 20 minutes before we got inside the front doors which then took another 20 minutes to get to the dance floor because of the large amount of people. Once we turned to get into the center of the club, we were greeted by two topless dancers.
Camilla and I quickly gathered those who wanted to leave and cut our night a little short. Or so we thought.
Once we were cuddled up in bed back in our incredible room chowing down on cupcakes and Taco Bell, we got a phone call from Cassy back at Voyeur, "Lindsey was rufied by some midget, ankle biting, has-been actor. I'm taking her to the hospital." So off to the hospital we go.
I don't think this is how we planned on spending our night but I must say we came away with some great stories so all in all I would deem this bachelorette party a success.

I am beyond blessed to have these people in my life who would go through all of this trouble to help me celebrate my upcoming wedding....
...which is in 70 days!...

A.D.D. Could Be The End Of This Blog

I am still waiting on getting the pictures back from the first shoot of the summer but here is a little sneak peek into what it looked like...

I have been running around like a wild banshee since I have been home.
From photo shoots to wedding planning, it doesn't seem I have gotten a chance to take a break.
But don't get me wrong...I love stepping back into this fast paced life style after spending 7 months in bed in a far off land. I feel alive again and like I am making a difference in not only my life but in others (i'm not quite sure whose though) haha

Update on wedding plans:
Since I have been back I have gotten the groomsmen's ties, the bridesmaid's gifts (I would totally show you guys but my most avid reader is my Maid of Honor. Little does she know, I only picked her as my Maid of Honor because she reads my blog) Love you Cam! My dress came in and I am tickled skinny (wish I was tickled skinnier but I guess skinny works) It is more perfect than anything I could have ever wished for. Not to mention, it doesn't even need to be tailored. How lucky is that? The flower girl dress came in and I wish I was small enough to wear it. I might love it more than my dress. I picked out my veil and got it on sale for $100 from it's original price of $330. SCORE! We also go my mom's Mother of the Bride dress and WOW! That hot little mama might steal the show. I got the tuxes rented and some really cool/funny accessories for the groomsmen which should put a smile on most peoples' faces.

Today I have scheduled the cake tasting, reception menu tasting, and the rehearsal menu tasting. The in-laws are in town so what better time to get all this stuff done and allow for them to participate. I don't really know if they wanted to but they don't really have a choice now.

I got a chance to see my sister's baby girl Stella and she is the most precious thing ever! I think my sister is in as much shock as we are that a living person grew inside of her and is made of her flesh and blood. So trippy to think about.

What a doll!! Uncle Matt is just so cute!

Check out this little

note I wrote to myself a few months ago.
I was having a miserable day yesterday and when I got the email that it was posted on Red Boots and I read through the letter, it really lifted my spirits and changed my day around. I am so thankful for the little things in life that have the power to change your day :)

Hope you enjoyed the little recap and I will get back to full time blogging soon!

I Love My Life!

When I walked into the office this was the first thing I saw....
Not a bad place to work right?

This was my view during hair and makeup...

And I walked downstairs to start shooting and came across this...
...their coffee table....kind of weird walking in and seeing yourself under a large piece of glass.

Group shot of the girls :)

Overall it was a fabulous day and hopefully a successful first day of the shoot. Robert Voltaire is a doll to work with and makes it so easy to be in front of a camera. He has such an incredible energy about him and really makes this job fun.

It always helps finishing a long day at work with a view like this...

Now it's time for day two. Lets hope it goes as well as the first.

Cleaning Up My Act

I can't believe I am back in America. I have been gone 8 months and it feels as though I never left. But it does feel really good to be home.

Matt and I moved into the cutest little apartment that overlooks the bay in Newport. The water is filled with gorgeous sailboats that are docked in front of each one of the fancy beach homes that line the bay. It's so beautiful. Not to mention Balboa Island is the most adorable place ever lined with quaint little shops and great restaurants. Everything about this place is so warm and inviting, plus there is just something so therapeutic about living by the water. We have been spending our mornings going for walks around the perimeter of the island, looking at all the homes, admiring the gorgeous weather and water, and counting the millions of USC flags hanging proudly from each balcony. BARF!

Unfortunately our vacation time is over and it's time to get back to work. We haven't gotten completely set up in our new digs yet and we are still without cable and internet but we did get our phones hooked up.
I have been reintroduced to 2010 and the concept of internet via a hand held mobile device. I feel so invincible with all this information at my finger tips! I will try to keep my blog updated as much as possible but my once iPhone savvy lifestyle has taken a turn towards a technological incompetence. My fat fingers that moved so nimbly across my phone eight months prior have now quickly slowed to a crawl and my patience for my lack of ability in iPhone typing is wearing thin. Pictures will just have to do.
So I leave you with these....

What a way to start the day!
Until you come across this.

I Can't Believe It's Over

What a way to end a fabulous season!
This is the second time in Anorthosis history that we have taken a double. Both Championship AND Cup!
I can't believe this season is over. Now that we have come to the end, it feels like it has flown by, unlike a few months back when the idea of me going home seemed to be ages away.
