Oh No They Didn't!

I was driving home from practice and THIS came on...

It was so bad I had to turn off my radio until the next song came on.
I think it's time for an intervention in this current music market. What happened to the singers who could actually sing? I'm talking about the Christina's, the Aretha's, the Ruben Studdard's of this world. Not the Britney Spears or Jamiroquai music video wannabes.

19 Days...

{Picture taken during our layover on our way to Paris for Christmas}
...Until we grace the beautiful Land of the Free with our presence. Mom and Dad, don't go warning National Security.
Sadly, I must say I am going to miss this place. The weather has been at a gorgeous 78 degrees consistently for the past couple of days with nothing but blue skies. The towns are slowly coming back to life as locals are coming home from school and tourists are stopping by to enjoy a vacation in the beautiful weather laying topless on the white sandy beaches.
The energy of this place really is picking up.
But sadly, we must leave IN 19 DAYS!! WOOOHOOOO
Darn! Right when I was starting to like this place.

Cyprus again next year? We'll see!

All of you should be counting down as well because I am going to be taking our kitty, Olive back to America with us. I'm sure this adventure with kitty in tow is going to make for some fantastic stories of annoyed passengers, eye rolling, and pseudo accident elbow checks to the thighs when walking back to the bathroom (most likely from Matt for bringing her with us).
It's going to be a very entertaining flight.

Happy Easter!!

{like my festive Easter nail polish on my huge dogs?}
I hope everyone is having an absolutely amazing Easter.
I expect many Easter egg hunts and egg dying pictures....oh! oh! and that you eat lots of peeps

Ours has consisted of many consecutive beach days.
We would dye eggs but the eggs here don't exactly come in white or feces free
soooo, next best thing is the beach!
...and Mexican food!
Such a tough life :)

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!

My Birthday Was So Perfect!

Early Tuesday morning, I woke up and went to the grocery store because I decided I wanted to bake all day as my birthday treat to me! I walked into the store with a bounce in my step and a smile on my face because my 23rd birthday was going to be a start to fabulous year. I strolled down every isle just to make sure I didn't miss anything I potentially wanted and hummed "Happy Birthday to Me!" as I collected all of the necessary ingredients in addition to a few little birthday treats before I headed home.

As you read below, the day progressively got better. I had some beautiful flowers waiting for me on the table when I got home. But what you didn't know is that Superman Matt didn't have a car at my place so he ran to the store and ran back. Probably 2 miles round trip. What a guy!

He then went above and beyond (like he didn't already but running two miles to get me flowers) and made me a birthday breakfast as I prepped all my necessary baking ingredients for my baking marathon.
Now for a sugar lover like me, my menu consisted only of desserts: Ooey Gooey Bars, Carrot Cake, Chocolate Chip Brownies, and Pink Rice Krispy Treats.

All in all, it was the best day ever! I got to bake and measure and pour without a care in the world and I didn't have to do ONE dish! Superman Matt stepped in and kept my working space tidy.

Later on my Birthday Day, I had to go to practice (Blah) and my teammates surprised me with a cake and sang happy birthday to me (Yay!).
They also gave me a really cute purse and this shirt (I Love It!) covered with pictures of all of us together.

Those were the highlights of my day.
But what's a birthday without giving a little as well?
Well just my luck, Matt's Easter gifts came in the mail and I just couldn't wait to give them to him. I had my parents ship out some of his favorite stuff that we was missing in the states. Mac and Cheese and fruit snacks being the most important!
I know these posts are so vague but I just don't want to write too much that my readers stop halfway through so I apologize for the lack of details. But the pictures are fun to look at! Right?

Don't Laugh At Me

My birthday was fabulous and full of flowers!

When I returned from the grocery store early in the morning, I was greeted with a beautiful bouquet of flowers with a coupon for a massage (by my man) and a mani/pedi (by someone who actually knows what they are doing) and some of my favorite pastries from the local bakery. It was such an awesome way to start my birthday morning.

Then about an hour later I get a BZZZZZZZZZ from my doorbell. I let the person in and they come walking up the stairs with, what do ya know, another bouquet of flowers.

I was so surprised and started asking this Greek lady, who spoke zero English, who they were from and she just smiled at me crookedly and nodded.

I opened the card and read under my breath, "Happy Birthday! Love, Mum and Dad." Automatically I started laughing because the card said Mum. Then my laughing quickly turned into sobbing because I forgot how much I desperately missed the two who gave birth to me.

Little did I know Matt was in cahoots with my parents on this one and documented the whole thing via photographs. So since I love to embarrass myself, I am going to post the sequence of pictures from when I got these flowers.

DO NOT LAUGH!

hahaha ohhh me. You're just too much.

I miss you Mum and Dad!!!
