Power of Red

My fiance and I got into a really interesting conversation the other day. Have any of you noticed that most restaurant's logos are in the color red? Well here is why! Check it out.

Have Bad Bananas?

Then you have the most important ingredient for banana bread!
This is the most incredible banana bread recipe that I snaked from my future brother and sister in law. When I went out to visit them/meet them for the first time in Hawaii they made this at their home one night. One bite and I knew I was marrying into the right family.

In order for this recipe to come out correctly you must play some Jack Johnson or Jason Mraz and dance around the kitchen. If you prefer a different genre of music then by all means play what tickles your fancy.

Ingredients:

1 1/4 cup flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 cup unsalted butter

3 super ripe bananas

2 half beaten eggs

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup any type of crushed nuts (optional)

Directions:

Coat your bread pan with butter (PAM works just as well)

For extra stick resistance, lightly dust the sides of your butter coated pan with flower

Mix all of the ingredients together

Pour into your bread pan

Bake at 350 for 50 min

Don't forget the knife check before you take the bread out of the oven.

Sprinkle a little sugar on top.

VOILA!

Now just cut a little slice of heaven and ENJOY with a cup of cold milk or hot coffee!

*Make sure bananas are pretty much black. The darker the more flavor

Best Way To Wake Up

This song is fantastic. The video just makes it that much better.

Put this on when you wake up and you are guaranteed to have a huge smile on your face and a fantastic day. Great vibes and uplifting.

More Than Template Deep

I am the context that flows from my mind to my pages
For I am not the straight and narrow type.
I flow from side to side only be centered by my surrounding borders.
These borders are my parents Ed and Cindy.
They have let me be free to think and feel and explore
but when needed they have brought me back to center only to let me stray again.

Pardon My Spectacle is my personality. My heart. My mind.
Examine my fonts.
Pardon: Personality-Quarky. My: Heart-Beautiful. Spectacle: Mind-Determined
I am different
From my appearance to my thinking to my actions.
I am not afraid.
I have been stared at most of my life.
It creates a Spectacle
Whispers
surround me.
I am a mystery to most.

My final signature is my love for closeness with others.
I love to be personal and know someone inside and out.
I love to let people in who I trust.
The heart at the end is an exact replica of a tattoo I have on the inside of my ring finger.
It reminds me of love
I need love

Inspiration Comes With A Bowl of Cereal

I woke up this morning to blue skies and a little furry kitty snuggled up in my armpit. What more could a girl wish for? Oh, and my fiance snoring next to me. Best alarm clock in the world.

He made up for it by bringing me cereal in bed when he woke up. Smart man.

As he walked in with a pink plastic bowl full of red fruits cereal with extra milk~ just the way I like it~ he asked to share something with me.

At first I thought it was going to be some crude video of guys lighting their farts on fire, which would be more typical, but to my surprise it was a really inspiring video of quotes by Jim Rohn.

It was such a great way to start off my year of Dreams.

His quotes are so inspirational and brilliant. At the same time they are every day things that we should remember yet we often forget. How to be the bigger person, how to use our intelligence, how to use our gentle hearts are the most simple and controllable things we can do that often go the greatest distance. Sometimes it just takes a little reminder from a breakfast date to open your heart back up to making a difference.

I will leave you with a small piece of this man's mind which has undoubtedly made this world a much better place.

"Sometimes you can't make it on your own. Combine your knowledge. None of us is smarter than ALL of us."

"Welcome greatness- it lives all around you"

"Choose to think the best about others. Choose to believe the best about others."

"Develop the ability to find the ability in others."

"Help others be liked. Help others be right. Help others be comfortable. Help others be winners."

"Get your ego out of the way."

"Inspire someone to be the best they can be."

"Commit to something bigger than yourself."

"Act as if what you do makes a difference. IT DOES!"

"Throw your heart over the bar and your body will follow."

"Never let weeds grow under your dreams. Never mistake knowledge for wisdom. Never chase a lie. Never laugh at anyone's dream. Never make excuses."

"Make promises sparingly. Keep them faithfully."

"Never kill and idea."

"Pursue character before prosperity."

"Give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you don't have time to criticize others."

"Don't belittle. Be Big!"

"Learn to say NO to the good so you can say YES to the great."

"Never be ashamed of what you BELIEVE."

"Don't blow your own horn or you might miss the music."

"Let others lead small lives,
but not you.
Let others argue over small things,
but not you.
Let others leave their future in someone else's hands,
but not you."

"You're Alive! Live it that way."

Here is the link if you wish to watch the video and read more of his quotes.
